In the last quarter of 2023, DeMont Institute of Management and Technology launched its pioneering venture into the Teacher’s Qualification sector with a series of transformative “Skill Master” sessions. These workshops are designed to enhance the capabilities of educators in various aspects of teaching and learning.
The series kicked off with “Happiness in Classrooms,” focusing on integrating emotional, social, and psychological well-being into academic environments. Educators learned to create classrooms where happiness and learning go hand-in-hand, exploring methods beyond traditional teaching, such as extracurricular activities and creative expression.
Another impactful session was “Observation, Assessment, and Planning in Early Years,” which honed educators’ abilities to observe and interpret children’s behavior, emphasizing ethical standards and legal compliance in early childhood education.
The workshop on the “Value for Play in Early Years” allowed participants to experience the educational power of play, highlighting its role in developing cognitive, emotional, and physical skills in young learners.
Concluding the year, the “Innovative Teaching Methods” workshop introduced dynamic, inquiry-based learning strategies for K-12 and higher education sectors, fostering environments that boost student engagement and understanding.
These Skill Master sessions underscore DeMont’s commitment to empowering teachers and enriching educational practices for future generations.
